Time: 4.30pm – 5.30pm | Venue: Nedbank Stellenbosch University LaunchLab.
We invite you to attend the next LaunchLab Talk, “Business is serious, work is fun” with guest speaker, Herman Kriel, from company, Five Friday.
Herman Kriel describes himself as an accidental CEO. He is a firm believer in having happy, engaged employees, and a great company culture. This enables his company to provide inventive solutions for their clients, so that they can increase their profits and free up more time. Herman studied agriculture after school, quickly realising his interest lay elsewhere, in computers and software development.
This interest eventually led him to work in both the public and private sectors, with a stint in Europe. Herman never dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur, until it happened. Like many fellow entrepreneurs, he is all too familiar with the symptoms of Impostor Syndrome – a concept describing high-achieving individuals who are marked by an inability to internalise their accomplishments and a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud.
Herman believes that company culture is not an HR function. Culture can’t be bought from a consultant. Culture can’t be crafted on a 2-day executive retreat.
Join us for this talk where you will learn key insights from Herman Kriel on company culture and the recipe for success, using its ingredients: relationships, behaviours, attitudes, environment, and values.
The talk will be followed by a drinks and networking session.
We look forward to welcoming you at LaunchLab.
